по-русски Taiga News 42 takes 'earth, air, fire and water' as its theme to reflect on some of the ecological wonders of the boreal forests and highlight some of the major threats to them. In recognition of the wisdom of Indigenous Peoples' around the boreal region, this issue of 'Taiga News' uses the four elements to structure a range of reports about different aspects of the boreal. Each element is represented by an ecological issue plus an article about a topic on which TRN participants are currently campaigning. There are stories from Grassy Narrows, Ontario, to the Russian Far East, about a tiny wood frog and about aspen, the biggest organism on the planet. Plus the latest news from the woods. We hope you will enjoy this holistic and inspiring view of the boreal forests.
