European Environmental Paper Network
 
The European Environmental Paper Network is a diverse group of NGOs joined together to support socially and environmentally sustainable transformations within the pulp and paper industry. The Network has developed A Common Vision for Transforming the European Paper Industry as a framework to guide necessary shifts in production and consumption.

Recent activities of the EEPN

  • Organising a 'Global Paper Summit' at TRN's biennial conference.

  • Working with colleagues in North America to harmonise our visions.

  • Working with colleagues in the global south to promote local visioning processes.

  • Producing a strategy for working together to reduce paper consumption.

  • Challenging the German DIN standard's definition of 'chlorine-free'.

  • Responding to the International Council of Forest and Paper Associations' commitment to global sustainability.

  • Challenging the EU Ecolabel process to certify tissue only if it is 100% recycled.
